A New Goal for 2012.

Earlier in the year I posted a list of my goals for 2012. It included a list of local climbs to help me get me to a yearly total of 50,000m. Well, due to the fact that I have a new challenge in September, I am going to drop the local climbs goal, but still aim at 50,000m. For the up coming challenge I don’t need to do a lot of climbing, but I do need to spend a fair bit of time in the saddle. More on this tomorrow.

So the local mountains are safe. That is not to say I wont have a crack at a few this year, but certainly not the one per month I was considering.

The other goal that I am going to give a real shake is the 90kg barrier. I am hovering on 95kgs, but am slowly making some lifestyle changes to help me drop the other 5kgs.

No more looking like this…

4/52

At my heaviest, 103kgs.

Already another major challenge posted. Maybe this one is too hard? It is for me but if you want a gauntlet I’m available…just weighed at 95.7 after 30km ride and lunch in Yakka shorts and shirt. A race to 93kg if you are interested?
